What an amazing idea! Add some "holes" into a standard font to save on ink! Brilliant.
This is basically what ecofont is. It allows you to save as much as 20% on toner costs by cutting out some of the font. It is sort of similar to the concept of the MP3, cut out the bits that you dont need to bring the size of the file down, or in this case the toner costs! Check it out.
