I have had some trouble with the DynDns client on my D-Link ADSL routers. To rectify this I have opted to use the client software provided by DynDNS. You can download the client software and install it on your computer.
The D-Link embeded client seemed to want to update the DynDNS records too often and the account was constantly being blocked for abuse. I would suggest that if anyone is having this type of problem they switch to the client app as I have had no trouble since upgrading to it.
